Piper Alderman is looking for a number of ambitious and hard-working law students to take on law clerk roles in our Sydney CBD office.

This role will be working directly with our search consultants in Sydney to map and help identify legal talent for Australian and International law firms, some of which are the most preeminent firms in the world. The role will also involve other research projects and working with consultants on candidate mapping, resourcing and production of relevant candidate materials as required.

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant role works within the Legal team reporting into the General Counsel. You will play a key role assisting the General Counsel with legal matters, ensuring that requests for legal assistance are triaged and managed and that internal stakeholders are updated on matters. You will also have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with external lawyers, barristers and other external stakeholders.

The Honourable Justice Francois Kunc would like to appoint a tipstaff to commence in late January 2026. 

A Supreme Court tipstaff fulfils the same role as an Associate in the Federal Court and the High Court. Duties include legal research, proof reading and assisting with the preparation of judgments and generally assisting in the discharge of duties both in and out of Court.
