Researcher / Resourcer

Role description

This role will be working directly with our search consultants in Sydney to map and help identify legal talent for Australian and International law firms, some of which are the most preeminent firms in the world. The role will also involve other research projects and working with consultants on candidate mapping, resourcing and production of relevant candidate materials as required.

Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Role description

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant role works within the Legal team reporting into the General Counsel. You will play a key role assisting the General Counsel with legal matters, ensuring that requests for legal assistance are triaged and managed and that internal stakeholders are updated on matters. You will also have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with external lawyers, barristers and other external stakeholders.

NSW Supreme Court Equity Division Tipstaff's Position -2026

Role description

The Honourable Justice Francois Kunc would like to appoint a tipstaff to commence in late January 2026. 

A Supreme Court tipstaff fulfils the same role as an Associate in the Federal Court and the High Court. Duties include legal research, proof reading and assisting with the preparation of judgments and generally assisting in the discharge of duties both in and out of Court. The appointment is generally for one year.

Paralegal

Role description

Norton White are seeking paralegals to work in our aviation and shipping teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for students in the early stages of their degree to gain experience working in a commercial law firm. Paralegals will be engaged in legal research, drafting and will have frequent opportunities to work with senior practitioners.

Depending on availability, paralegals will work one to three days per week. We are always willing to provide flexibility to accommodate students’ assessment commitments.
 

Graduate Program

Role description

We offer graduate positions across all our DLA Piper offices in Australia. During your graduate programme, you’ll experience three six-month rotations throughout our seven different practice areas to gain a broad range of experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a rotation in our responsible business or business advisory teams, giving you breadth in your knowledge of the law as well as the practical skills that will stay with you for your entire career.
