The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is seeking casual contract staff to support its enforcement teams to conduct investigations and litigation of suspected breaches of the Corporations Act and other legislation. Research Assistance for Barrister

Role description

Mr Tao is seeking a research assistant to succeed his outgoing researcher. The opportunity would suit a student in their 2nd or 3rd year of a combined law degree or 2nd year of a JD. The researcher typically remains in the role for about three years until they complete their legal studies. The new role will commence in around late July to coincide with the graduation of the outgoing researcher.

Role description

The District Court of New South Wales is seeking expressions of interest to fill the role of Associate in 2025 and 2026. The role(s) support District Court Judges presiding predominantly in the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court of New South Wales, the largest trial court in Australia.   • Preparing letters and other documents

Paralegals

Role description

This position includes both administrative and legal tasks. Administrative tasks include file management, preparing itemised bills, providing full support for our legal team and taking phone calls. 

Legal tasks include drafting correspondence, collating briefs, preparing pleadings and legal research.
