Cadet Business Support Officer - Legal Service

Role description

Strathfield Council has a great opportunity for a Cadet Business Support Officer – Legal Service to join our Legal team on a temporary, full-time basis (up to 2-year temporary appointment pending the length of study left).

This role is for students currently undertaking a degree in Law in the last year, or second last year of study.

The role is available due to the Office of Local Government Fresh Start program, which will require appointment requirements to comply with the grant funding.

Role description
  • Providing administrative support, including data entry and document and file management.
  • Maintaining and updating office records and databases.
  • Manage and maintain client documentation, ensuring accuracy and speed. Uploading documents, prepare statements and organise evidence
  • Assist in the data entry requirements for immigration related applications.
  • Client management, answering telephone inquiries and booking management

Litigation Paralegal

Role description

The role will be in our Commercial Litigation team. There may be some potential for exposure to other areas.

The role would suit a final year law student who has a bright personality, is self-motivated and hardworking. 

It is a part-time position and a flexible working week will be considered.

Role description

The role involves assisting Solicitors with the carriage of litigation matters, under the supervision of the Managing Director, relating to construction, property development and planning law.

The role is challenging and requires the candidate to take initiative and go that extra mile. The successful candidate will have direct access to the Managing Director, providing valuable mentorship.

Junior Lawyer

Role description
  • Assisting senior lawyers in the preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and letters
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support the team's work
  • Participating in client meetings and contributing to the development of legal strategies
