Paralegal

Role description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented casual paralegal to join our dynamic team, working 2-3 days per week (14-21 hours) job-sharing with another paralegal. The role is hybrid, with a mix of in-office and remote work. Ideally, we are looking for candidates presently studying law and/or with prior experience as a paralegal in a litigation firm.

Following the completion of initial training, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work entirely from home (with occasional attendances at the office or court)

We are always on the lookout for high performing law students, for both short-term projects and ongoing casual employment. Depending on the nature of the work, our paralegal roles typically require people who can commence with us either immediately, or within 1-2 weeks of offer. We also generally seek at least 2-3 days of availability per week.

Role description

Simpsons is looking for a full-time or part-time (2-3 days) paralegal or law student to provide high-quality legal support to the Sydney team in our Walsh Bay office. 

In this role, you will be exposed to complex and high-profile cases in the entertainment, arts and IP sectors. Current litigation includes acting for Netflix, Screen Australia, Hopscotch Features and TaP Music Management (a Live Nation company) amongst a wide-range of other confidential matters. You will also support Simpsons’ commercial teams.
