2025 Legal Summer Intern

Role description

As a legal summer intern, you will gain incomparable insight into the legal issues affecting a leading cloud computing company. During the 12-week program, you will be an active member of the legal team and counted on to assist with both complex projects and day-to-day responsibilities. You will be working directly with a world class legal team.

Casual Paralegal Position

Role description

We are looking to employ casual paralegals to be part of the paralegal pool, initially for a 6 month period, and to work during that time on an “as needed” basis. Generally, most paralegals will work with us 1 or 2 days per week, depending on our lawyers’ need for support and their university commitments. We will run a formal recruitment process once each year to refresh and extend the available pool of talented paralegals. Some of our paralegals stay with us beyond the 6 month initial employment period.

As Graduate Lawyer, you will support the legal team in these duties to ensure the team meets the businesses’ needs. Reporting to the partners and lawyers, our paralegals work on a wide range of premium commercial property matters, providing both legal and administrative support. 

The position is based in the Sydney CBD and we will provide training for the role. 

Associate to her Honour Judge Shead SC

Role description

The Associate’s role is to provide high-level legal and administrative support. The Associate is responsible for managing her Honour’s Chambers and is the first point of contact for all members of the public and the profession. The role encompasses assisting her Honour with complex legal research, drafting, in-court duties, and general day-to-day administrative tasks.

Her Honour primarily sits in the Sydney Downing Centre but may travel to regional courts.

Senior Policy and Project Officer, Youth Justice

Role description

Develop, manage, and implement innovative policies and programs within the Division to support and improve service delivery for young people in contact with the criminal justice system. Provide specialist policy advice and high-level analysis on issues and strategies.

As part of the Strategic Projects Unit, you will lead the enhancement of the Victims Register for the agency. This includes leading policy and procedure development in line with legislation, leading the operationalisation of the new scheme and awareness and educational uplift for the YJNSW business.
