We are seeking detail-oriented and highly organised Paralegals to assist our legal team during peak periods throughout the year. The focus of this role will be on reviewing and processing legal documents, and supporting the broader team.:
This position offers a flexible schedule, ideal for individuals who are able to work on an on-call basis. There will likely be extended periods of inactivity, followed by periods of time where 3-4 days of work per week are required.
Casual GTDocs Lawyers
Reporting into the Director of GTDocs and GTDocs Managers, the GTDocs Lawyer will undertake legal document review work and associated legal work at the highest quality, quality assurance, assist other document reviewers and support senior Lawyers and Managers in the management of document reviews.
Associate Investigator
The Associate Investigator supports the Investigations team in conducting investigations into breaches of legislation relating to elections, funding and disclosure, and lobbyists.
Key accountabilities
• Contribute to investigations into potential breaches by undertaking investigative activities, including collecting, examining and analysing documents, records, intelligence and other materials, and assisting in conducting searches, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports, recommendations and briefs of evidence.
Investigator
The Investigator role in Reportable Conduct is essential in the investigation of allegations of reportable conduct against DCJ carers. These investigations uphold the professional integrity of the department and lead to recommendations that improve safety and practice.
You will undertake end-to-end investigations, including analysis and assessment of allegations of reportable conduct.
You will work within statutory and legislative requirements and policies to determine the appropriate course of action for investigations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
provides research assistance to the Judge;
supports the day-to-day running of chambers including responding to enquiries;
assists the Judge with the management of cases and, if required, enters data into the Court’s case management system;
assists with the preparation of matters for both the Court and the Judge;
Legal Research Officer -NNTT
The Legal Research Officer reports to the Manager, Legal and Compliance and supports the Director, Legal and Compliance and other team members to assist the President, NNTT Members and the Registrar in exercising their functions and powers under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). The Legal Research Officer will be appointed as a delegate of the Registrar to make less complex registration decisions. They will also provide legal assistance and research to their manager, as directed by their manager.
