Role description

The Corporate Governance and Risk team oversees Council’s Corporate Governance, Compliance, and Risk functions including all frameworks to ensure organisational transparency, accountability and compliance with statutory obligations. The team is responsible in ensuring Council is compliant with the Code of Conduct, Enterprise Risk Management Policy, Public Interest Disclosure Reporting Policy, Fraud and Corruption Control Policy, and Statement of Business Ethics including information and privacy legislation.

Role description

Applications are invited for the position of tipstaff to the Honourable Justice John Robson of the Land and Environment Court of NSW. The role of the tipstaff is to provide a high level of legal and administrative support to his Honour and involves court work, legal research, assistance in the preparation of judgments, liaising with the Court registry and the legal profession, and other tasks that facilitate the smooth running of his Honour’s chambers.

We are looking for law students with an interest in sports law to assist our Disciplinary Committee with the conduct of Disciplinary hearings, including by collating party materials, sitting in on hearings, assisting with technology, and assisting the Committee in recording and publishing decisions. The Committee meets once or twice a week, or otherwise as required. Sittings are in the evenings (typically Wednesdays or Thursdays) and applicants will need to be available during these hours.
