The Judicial Commission of New South Wales is seeking two office-based research interns to work 2 days (14 hours) per week on a casual basis until graduation, starting in January/February 2026.

Law Graduate / Junior Lawyer
We are currently looking for a Law Graduate to join our team at our Liverpool office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with solicitors on a range of matters whilst developing their legal skills and ability. After working with the firm for a medium-term period, we are open to allowing the successful candidate to focus on matters within specific areas of law that we practice in.
Legal Assistant
We are currently seeking two Legal Assistants to join our Sydney office, supporting work authors across our Insurance, Construction and Employment & Workplace Advisory teams. This is a great opportunity for students currently studying a Bachelor of Laws to gain practical legal experience and pursue a graduate pathway within an award-winning Australian law firm. These are part time positions, working 3 days per week with flexibility to support your studies.
Associate to her Honour Judge Cole
The primary purpose of the role is to support the operations of the District Court by providing administrative, organisational and executive support to Judge Cole in chambers and in the courtroom. Key responsibilities and duties include:
• Accurately record judicial decisions and orders on the Department’s JusticeLink system and court files;
• Release judgments to the internet and the parties, including publishing judgements on NSW Caselaw;
• Diary, chambers and court file management;
• Correspondence, memoranda and judgment preparation;

We are seeking a Paralegal/Administrative Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in the legal industry. You will be supporting the team and Solicitors of the firm.

You will be responsible for:
- Providing high level administrative support, including diary, paper and electronic file management
- Preparing correspondence and documents to a high standard, in addition to filing documents with the Court when required
- Invoicing
- Have excellent attention to detail

2026 Associate to Judge Fitzsimmons SC
His Honour Judge Fitzsimmons SC is seeking expressions of interest to fill the role of Associate in 2026. His Honour presides in the criminal and civil jurisdiction of the District Court of New South Wales, the largest trial court in Australia. In 2026, his Honour will be based entirely in Wollongong District Court, sitting in the criminal and civil jurisdiction of the Court. The role will commence in late January 2026 and the position will be for one to two years, dependent on suitability, interest and availability.
