The primary role of a Student Ambassador is to assist with the marketing of UNSW’s undergraduate degrees by undertaking tasks to enhance the student educational experience. Student Ambassadors are often the first contact that prospective and current students have with UNSW.

This is a unique opportunity to join the ABC on a part-time ongoing basis, with the option of a flexible work location.

The ABC receives FOI requests seeking access to documents that may be held by the ABC. The FOI Coordinator reports to the Senior FOI Officer and provides high-level support in a tight knit team.

Tasks include end-to-end file management, assisting with legal research, regulatory reporting requirements, redacting and organising documents, drafting and proofreading correspondence, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ad hoc tasks.

On any given day you will be responsible for:

• conducting extensive document reviews;

This role will be one to two days a week, with possible extra days during the holidays. This role is ideal for a university student looking to gain practical experience while enhancing their writing, communication, and research skills. All my students who have worked with me over the years have completed their degrees and are now working in full-time roles.

You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• working on a diverse range of complex litigation and advice matters with a focus on property damage;
• develop skills in insurance law and litigation;
• have regular involvement and direct contact with clients; and
• appear in various courts and tribunals

Reporting to a Partner, you will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence;
• filling court documents
• diary management;
• brief preparation;
• opening/closing files;
• assisting lawyers as necessary; and
• other administrative tasks.

As a Paralegal in our LDC, you will work across Contentious, Corporate Transactional, or Real Estate matters, supporting document-heavy legal work with precision and speed. You will be part of a collaborative team that adapts to demand, with opportunities to cross-skill and grow your scope as you develop.
