About the team and the work

A Research Assistant (Level 5) provides technical and research assistance to the research project/team.

We are seeking an experienced research assistant with a background in Australian privacy law to provide support to a project which may continue until mid-2026 or beyond.

The successful applicant must have a firm understanding of Australian privacy law, backed by tertiary study and/or work experience in the area.

You'll be providing paralegal services to support the efficient operations of the Government, Regulatory & Prosecutions legal team.

You will be job sharing this role with another Paralegal who will work the remaining two days of the week.

You will assist the Lawyers in the team with legal research.

You will also prepare court documents, including statements of facts, and compile briefs of evidence for court.
