The in-house Legal team continuously strives to be a trusted adviser to the Iress business, by maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and providing high quality legal advice. We bring a service-oriented mindset to everything we do and all of our interactions.

Role description

  2. Supervise the work of the deputy associate.
  3. Assist the Judge to manage the docket by preparing and managing matters waiting for hearing.
  4. Ensure the court’s case management system is up-to-date and assist the Judge in the preparation of orders and typing of judgments.

The duties of the roles include:

  • drafting case summaries and digests on legislation and cases for publication on the Judicial Information Research System (JIRS) database
  • conducting legal research associated with, amongst other things, updating the Judicial Commission’s Bench Books
  • proofreading documents, including the Judicial Officers’ Bulletin
  • collecting data and preparing research for Judicial Commission publications, and
  • general administrative tasks.
