Your Contribution & Responsibilities

Women’s Legal Service Victoria has partnered with community legal centres across the state to deliver our Emerging Lawyer Program which will improve access to justice for victim-survivors of family violence.

The program is available to newly admitted lawyers, with less than 12 months practising experience.

Graduate Lawyers will have the opportunity to work with experienced community lawyers with expertise in family violence and family law. Across 18 months, lawyers will undertake specialist training in Melbourne and online alongside other lawyers committed to gender equity.

The Legal Officer will report to the Principal Legal Officer or Chief Operating Officer to assist in providing effective in-house legal counsel on risk, compliance and strategic advice to the Executive and Board, as well as providing legal policy advice for native title and related projects.
