Honours Research Thesis Enrolment Form

T3 2024 applications will open on 20 May 2024.

This form is to be completed by students who commenced in a dual law degree in 2015 or later who wish to complete Honours in T3 2024.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1.        Successfully completed a minimum of 96 UOC of LLB courses (i.e fourth year and later)

2.        Successfully completed at least 84 UOC of core LLB courses which can include the prescribed elective

3.        Have a WAM in core LLB courses (including the prescribed elective, if applicable) of 75.00 or above.

Please note the following:

• It is your responsibility to finalise the Honours Research Thesis (LAWS3901) outline and find a supervisor prior to submitting this application.
• An outline must be provided to your proposed supervisor and they must confirm that this has been considered and they are willing to supervise you (this approval must be uploaded with your application). The outline should include a tentative title of the project, project description (up to 300 words) and a list of 5 tentative sources.
• The Honours Research Thesis will be of 10,000 - 12,000 words including footnotes
• The Honours Research Thesis must be submitted via Turnitin on Moodle as well as a hard copy via Law Student Services if requested by your supervisor;

Enrolment in the Honours Research Thesis is by School consent only (processed manually by Law Student Services) and students cannot enrol via myUNSW. 

Applications close on 7 July 2024 and late applications will not be accepted. 

Successful applicants need to attend the Research Methods Workshop on Friday 6 September 2024.
